Molenwijk (1992) was a Commodore Amiga social simulation game set in a Dutch working-class neighborhood. Created by a sociology student, it explored gentrification, community, and urban life.
Dijkbreker — The Amstrad Game Where You Fight the Sea
Dijkbreker (1987) was an Amstrad CPC action game about defending Dutch polders from flooding. Built by two brothers from Zeeland who grew up with the 1953 flood disaster in family memory.
Havenbaron — The Dutch Amiga Trading Game Set in the Port of Rotterdam
Havenbaron (1990) was a Commodore Amiga trading simulation set in the Port of Rotterdam. Players managed cargo ships, negotiated contracts, and navigated the Nieuwe Waterweg in this ambitious solo-developed game from Dordrecht.

Veenrijk (1988) was an Amstrad CPC strategy game about peat digging in 19th-century Drenthe. A solo developer from Emmen turned local history into a surprisingly engaging resource management game.
Windmolen — The MSX Tower Defense Game Before Tower Defense Existed
Windmolen (1989) was an MSX game where players defended Dutch polders using windmills to pump out water. Created by a water engineering student in Wageningen, it pioneered tower defense mechanics years before the genre had a name.
Kanalenkruiser — The Commodore 64 Canal Boat Racing Game from Friesland
Kanalenkruiser (1987) was a Commodore 64 racing game where players navigated a skûtsje (Frisian sailing barge) through the canals of Friesland. Created by a boat builder's son in Sneek.
Grachtenpand — The Commodore 64 Haunted House Game from Utrecht
Grachtenpand (1986) was a Commodore 64 horror adventure game set in a haunted canal house in Utrecht. Created by a teenage duo, it combined point-and-click mechanics with Dutch folklore.
IJstijd — The MSX Platformer Set in a Frozen Dutch Landscape
IJstijd (1987) was an MSX platformer set during the Little Ice Age in the 17th-century Netherlands. A solo developer from Den Bosch created a Hendrick Avercamp painting come to life.
Kabeljauw — The Lost Dutch MSX Fishing Game from 1988
How a small MSX game about North Sea fishing made in Delft became one of the rarest Dutch video games ever produced. Only 150 copies were sold.
Muizenval — The Dutch Amiga Puzzle Game That Inspired a Generation
Muizenval (1991) was a mouse-themed puzzle game for the Commodore Amiga, created by a solo developer in Rotterdam. Predating Lemmings by months, it featured unique mechanics still unmatched today.

Nachtwacht — A Dutch Text Adventure Set in 17th-Century Amsterdam
Nachtwacht (1984) was a text adventure for the Commodore 64, set during the Dutch Golden Age. Players investigated a murder in Rembrandt's Amsterdam. Written entirely in Dutch by a history teacher from Haarlem.
